Portfolio of Works

Oklahoma is rich in musical talent and I want to showcase that through my work! Having a personal history with music, I carry a deep admiration for those who can successfully create and communicate through organized sound. I’m interested in the human interaction and energy between the person and their music. Music expresses love, joy, anger, sorrow, praise, worship; there’s an ordinary beauty in the creation of it that in turn, creates an extraordinary human connection. You’re not alone if you have music.

Some of my subjects are currently widely known, some were well known decades ago, and some have been there all along and you never knew it. Some have achieved historical notoriety by their contribution to music. My inspiration was to create art that you can hear and feel the emotion of their music coming through. I hope my art piques your interest to explore an artist you may not know. You just might become their new fan!

Music and the natural world are my inspirations.

Brushes, oil or pastel pigments, charcoal, graphite, color and light are my tools to bring forth the extraordinary that exists around us. It began as a single practice sketch to hone my skills as a portrait artist and turned into a full blown series, keeping me happy during Covid. Being a decades long Elton fan and the 50th anniversary of his breakthrough performance at the Troubadour Club in L.A., I was inspired to create this body of artwork, a celebration & visual exploration of an enduring career. I seek to capture his passion, sensitivity and his essence; moments throughout an adult lifetime.

Fifty-two artworks for fifty-two years. I can’t think of a more appropriate place to show this series of work than in the same city where it all began, at a fan event during his final U.S. performances, surrounded by others celebrating the music and the memories we associate with it; it brought it full circle. 

Welcome to Abundance, a celebratory display of nature's bounty. You can find a few of these pieces on display at 1515 Lincoln Gallery during their still life exhibit, Nature Morte. This exhibit will run through Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The majority of these works were on display at Edmond Fine Arts throughout the month of June 2026. This show explored themes of creation's generosity and provision, while illustrating the richness, harmony, and joy present in a life filled by divine grace. Along with the work of fellow artist, Sharon Sudduth, our shared interest in the abundance that nature brings us was combined.

My work continues to feature colorful fruits, Fiesta dinnerware and patterned fabrics rendered in either pastel or oil.

Landscapes completed in the studio as well as plein air. These works are in a large range of sizes.
