Working in a mixed media of pastel and acrylic on masonite board these works consist of candid portraits of musicians, capturing the passion of music between the musician and their instrument.  Having a long time interest in music personally, I feel a deep admiration for those who can successfully create or communicate through "organized sound".

The music I've enjoyed while gathering subject matter for this series of works has been a feast for my ears.  I hope for these works to be music for the eyes.
